While her mama is often too busy or too far away to spend much time with her, Zoe dreams up magical adventures where they are together—dancing in the stars, baking sunshine pies, and whispering secrets to the moon. Through Zoe’s imagination, readers are gently guided through themes of longing, love, and hope. This story celebrates the strength of a child’s spirit and the comfort found in dreaming, even when life doesn’t go as planned.

Nikayla Wilborn is a passionate storyteller, mother, and advocate for emotional healing through literature. She writes with heart, purpose, and a deep love for young readers who may not always see themselves in traditional stories. Imagining Mama is her first children’s book, inspired by real-life experiences of longing, love, and hope from a child’s perspective.

Nikayla believes in the power of imagination as a way to process feelings and envision brighter futures. Through her writing, she aims to give children comfort, representation, and encouragement to dream, even when life feels uncertain. Her books gently guide young minds to know they are seen, loved, and never alone.
